Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a Attunement requires one hour of focus. Only one creature can be attuned to the item at a time. Upon attunement, the creature learns how to set a verbal password that, when uttered 3 times aloud, activates the magic within the stony block.)

A small, dense, palm-sized block of granite embedded with cogs and gears weighing about 2 lbs. The block can be placed on any flat, open, space. In order to properly activate, the stone needs at least 5 open feet on each side, or a 10-foot square area.

When the attuned user utters the item's password, a tower of stone and machinery erupts into a 10 foot wide by 35 foot-tall, square, turret-like tower. The Artificer's Tower of Requirement appears to be made out of the same granite that the small block was. Sections of the tower appear to have variously-sized cogs and gears spinning at varying speeds, creating soft whirring and ticking sounds.

The Artificer's Tower of Requirement has occasional windows, emanating soft, glowing light. The top of the tower has an observation deck with a ballista for defense . The walls are 1 foot thick. A single door appears at ground level. The attuned user can choose up to 20 creatures including itself to allow passage through the door. All other creatures are unable to unlock or open the door.

The inside of the Artificer's Tower of Requirement is magically enchanted to be much larger inside than the outside dimensions. When the attuned creature utters the password, they can decide how many floors (minimum of 3, maximum of 10) the tower has in addition to the observation and defense platform, and the dimensions of each floor (maximum of 50 feet squared), limited to a ceiling height of 10 feet per floor. Each of the floors can be divided into as many rooms as you like, provided each room is at least 5 feet on each side. The floors of the keep are connected by stone staircases, and interior rooms can have stone, wood, or metal doors or open archways as you choose. The keep is furnished and decorated however you like, and it contains sufficient food to serve a 5-course banquet for up to 20 people each day. Furnishings, food, and other objects created by this spell-item crumble to dust if removed from the fortress. One of the floors created will always be an artificer's lab.

The artificer's lab is furnished with tables, workspaces, and tools for all manner of experimentation, creation, repair, and more. Tools include: Carpenter's Tools, Cartographer's Tools, Cobbler's Tools, Glassblower's Tools, Jeweler's Tools, Mason's Tools, Navigator's Tools, Potter's Tools, Smith's Tools, Thieves' Tools, Tinker's Tools, Weaver's Tools, and Woodcarver's Tools. The lab also comes with many kits and areas to practice with them. Kits include: Climber's Kit, Disguise Kit, Forgery Kit, Healer's Kit, Herbalism Kit, Mess Kit, and Poisoner's Kit.

A staff of 20 invisible servants obeys any command given to them by creatures you designate when you cast the spell. Each servant functions as if created by the unseen servant spell.

The walls are all made of stone that can be damaged. Each 10-foot-by-10-foot section of stone has AC 15 and 30 hit points per inch of thickness. It is immune to poison and psychic damage. Reducing a section of stone to 0 hit points destroys it and might cause connected sections to buckle and collapse at the DM’s discretion.

The tower remains in it's spot until destroyed or the attuned creature speaks the password 3 times again. At that time, the Artificer's Tower of Requirement harmlessly crumbles and turns back into the palm-sized block of granite and cogs. Any creatures inside are magically ejected safely to an open area within 20 feet of the block's initial placement.

Notes: Attunement requires one hour of focus. Only one creature can be attuned to the item at a time. Upon attunement, the creature learns how to set a verbal password that, when uttered 3 times aloud, activates the magic within the stony block.
