Weapon (longbow), rare (requires attunement by a humanoid with 16 or greater Dexterity)

This is a recurve long bow fashioned from four, intertwined  hawthorn branches.  Though appearing delicate and powerless, the bow is indestructible and quite powerful.

While attuned to this weapon, you have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. A successful hit does an additional 4 points of piercing damage.

The very first time an arrow from this bow strikes a particular creature, thorn covered vines will shoot out from the arrow to wrap around the target, causing an additional 2d6 piercing damage. The target must make a strength check against a DC of 15, or they are ensnared and immobile until they can break free. Breaking free will take an action to perform, and they will take an additional 1d6 of damage at the beginning of each round until they do.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Piercing, humanoid with 16 or greater Dexterity, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
