This rusted morningstar is covered with carved, laughing mouths. It is said to have been dipped in the blood of creatures from every known plane on the Great Wheel. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
The Morningstar of the Many has 3 charges. As a bonus action, you can expend 1 charge to command the morningstar to shift forms for 1 minute. While shifting, roll a d6 at the beginning of each of your turns and consult the following table to determine the form taken by the morningstar. The morningstar regains all its expended charges daily at dawn.
d6 | Weapon Qualities |
---|---|
1 | polymorph morningstar |
2 | wounding battleaxe |
3 | life stealing morningstar |
4 | vorpal longsword |
5 | flame tongue morningstar |
6 | vicious spear |
Curse. This morningstar is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the morningstar, keeping it within reach at all times. You also have disadvantage on attack rolls with weapons other than this one, unless no foe is within 60 feet of you that you can see or hear.
Whenever a hostile creature damages you while the morningstar is in your possession, you must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or go berserk. While berserk, you must use your action each round to attack the creature nearest to you with the morningstar. If you can make extra attacks as part of the Attack action, you use those extra attacks, moving to attack the next nearest creature after you fell your current target. If you have multiple possible targets, you attack one at random. You are berserk until you start your turn with no creatures within 60 feet of you that you can see or hear.
Proficiency with a Morningstar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Cursed, Sap
