A ribbon of silk which can be wrapped around the grip of a weapon, a wrist, a staff, used as a bookmark in a spellbook, etc. 

When equipped, the Ribbon allows the casting of Absorb Elements at will, at first level, through the item it is equipped to. 

In addition, you maintain an indefinite resistance to any damage type that is an additional effect of a weapon you wield. (For example, the fire of a Flame Tongue, or cold of a frost brand.) This effect is only active if the ribbon is equipped to the weapon, and the effect which deals damage is active. This applies to features which add damage to a weapon as well, such as the Blood Hunter's Crimson Rite, though only when active.
