Weapon (longbow), uncommon (requires attunement by a spending one-hour firing the bow to become attuned.)

This bow is carved from a single piece of golden yew and has brass fittings and a silver string. The string is unbreakable and infused with magic. Once attuned, pulling the string causes it to glow and produces an arrow made of a golden aura shedding 10 ft. of dim light. These arrows have a +1 to attack only and are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming magical resistance. They deal normal damage and disappear as soon as they strike a target. However, if a real arrow is knocked the arrow begins to glow and is granted a +1 to both attack and damage and is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming magical resistance. Once the arrow strikes a target, the glow subsides and once again becomes mundane. If an arrow that is already magical is placed within the bow, it only gains an additional +1 to attack.

The bow requires the sun in order to function, and must be bathed in the light of the mid-day sun once every ten days for one hour. If this ritual is not completed the string becomes brittle and breaks upon tying to use it rendering it a normal, stringless bow. The use of a daylight spell may be used to infuse the bow temporarily, but must be bathed in the light of the real sun within 5 days.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
