Staff (quarterstaff), artifact (requires attunement)

This cursed staff, once wielded by a legendary god of battle fell to the material plane after it was sundered in battle.  It is said that wielding this weapon grants the wielder enhanced speed and strength, but be warned, if the wielder is unfit to channel the rage that the staff brings out, bloodshed is sure to follow.

Unlike normal weapons, this artifact takes no time to attune, and instantly bonds with anyone who grabs it, as it exists only to spread rage.  Once you drop this weapon you become unattuned to it.  However, if a person takes the time to properly attune to this weapon, then dropping this weapon does not end attunement.  Once attunement ends, the Berserker Staff's curse remains for 3d4 days.

While wielding this weapon, you gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls.  While this weapon looks like an ornate, metal quarterstaff, it deals 1d10 Bludgeoning damage when wielded with both hands and 1d8 Bludgeoning damage when used as a dual weapon.  While wielding this weapon in two hands it qualifies for the Great Weapon Master feat.

When attuned to this weapon as a Berserker, you may use one of it's charges to ignore one level of exhaustion, or the negative effects of haste and 1/day you may cast the Haste spell on yourself, even while raging.
In addition, while wielding the Berserker Staff you are resistant to all Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing Damage and your Strength, and Dexterity scores go up by 4, and your movement speed increases by 20 feet.  You also have advantage on Intimidate checks and enemies have disadvantage to resist your Frightful Resistance ability.

When attuned to this weapon as a non-Beserker Barbarian, you are resistant to all Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing Damage and your Strength and Dexterity scores go up by 2 and your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

When attuned to this weapon as a non-Berserker, your Strength and Dexterity scores go up by 2 and your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

Curse (Only applies to non-Berserkers): [Blind Hate] The blind rage generated from the staff prevents you from maintaining your cool, you cannot cast spells while attuning to this weapon and any intelligence, charisma (except Intimidate), and wisdom ability checks are made with disadvantage.  Your frightful demeanor grants you advantage on all Intimidate checks.
In addition, any damage taken while attuned to this staff causes you to attack whoever wounded you last.

{This weapon is inspired by the Berserker Staff from Agents of Shield S1E8: The Well}

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
