This large silver shield is highlighted with gold, many precious jewels adorn its surface and the face of a dragon is carved into the front. Aegis is one of the Seven Incarnations of Sin created by the Queen of Sorrow. It was gifted to a paladin who went on the face the Devil Lords of the Nine Hells. He was slain by Zariel, and the shield was lost within Avernus. Any who attune to it believe themselves perfect in every way.
The shield is a +3 shield, granting this bonus in addition to its normal AC improvement. As an action the person attuned to it can say its command word, Dracos, and the head on the front of the shield will emit the breath weapon of any adult dragon of the players choice. This action can only be used once per day.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
