Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Anyone.)

This item appears to be a longsword hilt. While grasping the hilt, you can use a bonus action to cause the hilt to absorb an attack spell that forms a blade of that element to spring into existence, or make the blade disappear. Roll a d20 when attempting to absorb an enemy spell by beating their spell save DC. On a fail the hilt fails to absorb the spell. On a success the spell is absorbed and you take half the damage you would for a successful save. On a 20 the spell is completely absorbed and you take no damage, if the spell affects multiple targets they take no damage on a 20.  If the spell being absorbed is placed by an ally then the absorption automatically succeeds. The absorbed spell dissipates 24-hours from initial absorption. While the blade exists, this magic longsword has the finesse property. If you are proficient with shortswords or longswords, you are proficient with the Arcane Binding Blade.

It gains a +3 to damage for every level of the spell that was cast. If a cantrip is put into the blade it does +2 damage of the element it is composed of but dissipates after one use.

It can only hold one spell at a time. If you wish to absorb a different spell you have to release the spell from the hilt. You can either the spell dissipate, where the blade vanishes. Or you can attempt to sling the spell out of the hilt as a bonus action. Roll a d6 and if the roll is 6 then a wave a energy with the properties of the spells element is released in either a 15 ft line(vertical swing) or a cone (horizontal swing). Vertical swing does an extra d4 for every level of spell in blade. On 2-5 the blade just vanishes and you can't absorb this round. On a 1 the blade explodes and deals damage to everything in a 10 ft radius it deals a d4 for every level of the spell held. You can't absorb any spells on this turn or the next. The range of these effects increases by 5 ft for every spell level above 1st.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack made with this weapon and this bonus goes up for every level of the spell absorbed, which deals magic damage instead of slashing damage.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Weapon Property: Finesse, A charge is required for every spell level absorbed. If you attempt to absorb a spell with more levels than charges remaining the weapon risks becoming inert. Roll 1d10, if 10 the spell's level is reduced by the number of charges remaining and the sword is drained of charges. On 2-9 the sword is inert for 1d4 plus the difference between the spell level and the remaining charges. On a 1, the sword is overloaded and becomes inert for 1d12 + 10 days., Anyone., Damage, Combat, Versatile, Sap
