Àirde na Gaoithe

This blade is seemingly unremarkable beyond it's unbreakable form. But it is the physical manifestation of the Wind itself.

One of the lost relics gifted to the races of The Tree by He Who Was. He asked the wind to help protect the mortal races, so it gave of itself and gave a blade that once awakened would grant the wielder control of Wind Manifest.

Unawakened

The blade is unbreakable despite being made of regular steel. It is also undetectable, including by detect magic.

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

You also have 5 uses of the Haste spell. Àirde na Gaoithe, regains 1d4 uses at dawn every 2 days.

Awakened

The blade once awakened, still resembles it's solid state, but if the wielder chooses, as much or as little of the blade becomes the wind and is effected by matter in the same manner. As such it can be as harmless as a gentle breeze or as cutting as a air cannon.

You retain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. On a successful hit it also deals 2d4 + DEX slashing or piercing, which ignores resistance and immunity.

The wielder also gains a +3 to their DEX score. Ignoring upper stat limits. They also gain 20ft of movement and advantage on athletics and acrobatics checks.

 Àirde na Gaoithe also retains its ability of the Haste spell.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
