This spell book contains up to 10 spells for 1 class each spell of which has the ritual tag.  The spell book is geared either to Bard, Cleric, Druid, or Wizard spells.

A spell can be cast using the book provided the caster has the ritual caster feat.  The Wizard class does not need to have the ritual spells prepared in order to make use of them as a ritual and cast them using the ritual book.  All other classes of ritual casters must use a ritual book and/or ritual kit to cast a prepared spell as a ritual.

When discovered, if an included spell is on your class's spell list but is of a higher level than you can normally cast, you cannot cast the spell as a ritual.  If attempted, the spell fails and the components are consumed.

The ritual book cannot be used as a spell scroll to cast a spell directly from the book.  It includes all necessary pictures, diagrams, spell component descriptions, chants, mage words, etc. necessary to cast the spells included in the book solely as a ritual, and the spell book cannot be used to memorize spells.  All spells cast from a ritual spell book are cast at their lowest level, and take an additional 10 minutes to cast.
