Ankheg Shield

This remarkably light, sturdy shield is made from the chitinous plating of the forehead of an Ankheg warrior. It offers the same protection as a wood or steel shield, but with a reduced weight. These shields only tend to only be found in frontier regions with frequent Ankheg incursions, and finding someone with the skill set to build one anywhere else is exceedingly difficult.

You can add this shield's AC bonus to any dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that inflicts acid damage.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
