Aeorian Puzzle Sphere

About the size of a grapefruit, this hefty sphere of bronze and brass radiates a powerful abjuration aura and is covered in all manner of sliding parts, buttons, and switches which boggle the mind in its complexity. It whirs and clicks from within with a clockwork precision underscored by a constant low hum of some clandestine magical purpose beckoning its beholder to solve its deepest mysteries.

While holding the puzzle sphere, you can use your action to make an intelligence check to attempt to rearrange its moving pieces in such a way as to properly activate the mechanism. The DM will tell you what happens based on your result.

"Professor Waccoh, I hope this message finds you in good spirits.

We have recently uncovered a rather unusual object in our travels which you may find quite fascinating. Umadan has been puzzling over this since she got her hands on it. The object in question appears to be highly sophisticated and Pre-Calamity in nature. It confounds all of our attempts to identify its source due to a very powerful abjuration aura obscuring its interior enchantments from our understanding. To the extent of what we have been able to ascertain, we have observed its unique ability to conjure gold, silver, copper, and even platinum coins once its puzzle apparatus has been solved.

To date, we have acquired a modest supply of wealth for the dynasty from our short investigations. Each time the mechanism generates coins, it then appears to lock up for 24 hours, much to our consternation. Umadan has managed to discover a hidden mechanism which releases the locks early once before it reset on its own and was able to try to solve it again. The mechanism completely changes its solution each time it resets, so our efforts to memorize the process are foiled. Its craftsmanship is exquisite and readily lives up to the expectations we had about Eisselcross.
