The arcane capacitor is a relatively recent development in the fusion between magic and technology. This item acts essentially as a battery and fits in the palm of your hand. It has the unique ability to store a single spell. This particular capacitor has the ability to store one first level spell. It can only hold a singular spell at any given moment and dawn resets its ability to store a spell. This item can be attached to an Arcane Capacitor Focus to use the magic stored within. The casting time of the spell is proportional to if the spell was being cast normally, but the material requirements are used only when charging the capacitor.
Arcane capacitors exist for all nine levels of spells, and an arcane capacitor can be upgraded to contain higher level spells for an appropriate cost as designated by the DM. The material that fuels arcane capacitors' ability to store spells deteriorates after repeated use and must be replaced after every 10 spell uses for a proportionally smaller cost to the quality of the capacitor as determined by the DM.
This item has an AC of 24 and 10 hit points, and if destroyed will result in a magical explosion that deals 1d10 force damage per level of the spell stored within out to a 30ft radius. The remains of the capacitor can be reassembled by a talented arcane engineer with the cost of materials and time required being proportional to the quality of the capacitor, but lower than the price of creating a new one.
