when you attune to this item and wear it as a necklace or charm anywhere on your person you gain a +1 to your spell attack bonus.
before you cast any spell decide if you want to use this ability: when you cast a spell you channel energy through the amulet and use it as a spellcasting focus. Any time you cast a spell roll a d20 (this can be the spell attack roll or separate but you have to decide which before the spell has been casted and the die have been rolled.)
On a roll of 20 choose one of these three effects 1.) use max damage on your spell damage (including the double damage if it was the spell attack roll.) 2.) empower the spell to the next highest level 3.) regain the spent spell slot.
However, if you roll a one 1 in this circumstance you lose an extra spell slot of the same level. (if you cannot because there are either no more spell slots or you used a cantrip you have disadvantage on spells for your next turn (or 1 minute id not in innitiative) and cannot use concentration spells.
Notes: Bonus: Spell Attacks, you can attune to this item by holding it between your hands for a short rest and channeling small amounts of your magic into it. you can unattune to it at any time.
