Weapon (longbow), rare (requires attunement)

Sanguine is an ancient elven bow (often referred to as the Lifeseeker) is ornately carved, etched into the bow are elven runes that when read, reads "life perpetuates life". When spoken in elvish the runes upon the bow glow with bright green pulsing energy.

When used as part of the attack action, You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon

Upon hitting Sanguine changes color from green to red as the life force from the hit creature drains into the bow,  on a hit restore 1d4 + your constitution modifier.

You restore more life at higher levels, at level 5 this increases to 1d6, level 10 it increases to 1d8 and at level 15 it increases to 1d10.

Cursed. Sanguine desires to be used by the player, attacks with other ranged weapons other than this have a disadvantage. Sanguine can't be removed from the player, if Sanguine is removed somehow it will find it's way back into the players grasp.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
