Weapon (rifle, automatic), unknown rarity

BOLTGUN
Exotic ranged weapon

This advanced weapon prototype weighs 30 pounds has the following properties:
• Strength Requirement. This weapon requires a Strength of 18 or higher to use.
• Ammunition (80/320). This weapon uses .75 caliber rounds. A round that is fired is destroyed and cannot be recovered. The weapon can make 10 shots before needing to reload, which requires a free hand and an action or bonus action.
• Heavy Recoil. This weapon can be fired while holding it in one or two hands. When fired using one hand, shots you make in single-fire mode are made with disadvantage, and shots you make in burst fire mode deal half damage.
- Firing Modes. This weapon can shoot in single-fire or burst-fire mode. You can switch between the two as your item interaction.
• Single-Fire: You expend a single round and make a ranged weapon attack using Strength against a target within range. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 piercing damage.
• Burst Fire: You expend three rounds and choose a point within range. Each target within 5 feet of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). A target takes 3d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Objects that aren't being worn or carried automatically fail the saving throw. If you choose a point beyond the weapon's normal range but within its long range, affected creatures automatically pass their saving throw.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
