An intricately designed bronze sword forged and originally wielded by the Empyrean warrior, Aceron, Astrapios was considered lost to the ages in the wake of the Celestial War. The bronze sword has jagged lapis lazuli veins running down the blade like frozen lightning. The short, rounded hilt is engraved with finely carved ancient runes. While attuned to this weapon the wielder is imbued with the battle ferocity of the Empyrean and gains a +3 to initiative. They also gain the benefits of the Savage Attacker Feat while attuned to this weapon (once per turn you can reroll damage on a melee attack and use either total). While attuned the wielder is immune to being frightened.
The handle and pommel are long enough to indicate this is a bastard/ hand and a half sword, while the blade has more of a gladius flare. As such it gains the versatile feature. If wielded with one hand the sword does 2d6+3 +STR damage. When wielded with two hands add an additional d6 of damage.
The ancient runes, forged with the Empyrean's own blood, allow the weapon master to utilize two spells. The sword can cast each spell up to 2 times per long rest. The wielder does not need to be proficient in spellcasting in order to utilize these spells. Up to twice per long rest the wielder can cast Lightning Bolt or Thunderwave as an standard action. The DC for both spells is 16.
