Avira

Avira in Drow translates to air, atmosphere, or spirit. While it is played those nearby may feel a chilling cold in the air, as its music resonates with nearby spirits. This lute is magical, but made of wood from a Sussur Tree from the Underdark. The majority of the instrument is a darkened greyish black, but It's accented with etched wooden trim that bears a silver color.  When this darkened Lute is played by one who can channel its power, it may manifest the spirit of whichever tale is told while it is played. Often a pact is made between spirit and bard, that once completed will allow the performer to call upon this power. Once attuned you may cast Detect Evil and Good once per long rest.

Sussur Wood - The magic a Sussur tree produces normally radiates in the air around it absorbing magic and feeding upon it, but when cut down and repurposed it has a different effect. When crafted into an instrument, and in the hands of a bard, it absorbs a small fraction of the bards innate magical energy. This energy can then be repurposed into an airborne representation of a tale or image with the sounds it produces. The scale of this representation depends on the capabilities of its wielder, and of the tale its self.
