Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement)

Having been doused in the magical blood of a White Dragon, Frostbite has awakened. Imbued with the power of draconic blood, the blade warps and stretches as it grows in size and power. The blades affinity to cold magic deepens and it gains new abilities.

Attack

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. You can use a bonus action to speak this magic sword's command word, causing shards of ice to erupt from the blade. While the sword is covered in ice, it deals an extra 1d6 cold damage to any target it hits. The ice last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or sheathe the sword.

Spells

The sword has 7 charges, which are used to fuel the spells within it. With the sword in hand, you can use your action to cast one of the following spells from the sword, even if you are incapable of casting spells: ray of frost (no charges, or 1 charge to cast at 5th level; +5 to hit with ranged spell attack), sleet storm (3 charges; spell save DC 15), or ice storm (4 charges; spell save DC 15). No components are required. The sword regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges each day at dawn. If you expend the sword's last charge, roll a d20. On a 20, the sword melts away, destroyed.

Sentience

Frostbite is a sentient neutral good weapon with a Intelligence of 12, a Wisdom of 14, and a Charisma of 12. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. The weapon communicates by transmitting emotions, sending a tingling sensation through the wielder's hand when it wants to communicate something it has sensed. It can communicate more explicitly, through visions or dreams, when the wielder is either in a trance or asleep.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
