Armor (breastplate), legendary (requires attunement by a druid)

This armor is a breastplate made from the wood of duskwood trees found in northern Faerun. Craftsmen utilize duskwood in the place of metal, and often call the wood harvested from the trees “ironwood”. The armor itself is blessed by druidic magic that has been lost to time, the symbol of the tree of life centered in the chest of this armor glows a soft green color and it is rumored that you can hear the voices of nature calling from within.

The armor has 5 charges. It regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn.

While attuned to this armor, you gain the following features:

  • You gain resistance to lightning damage.
  • You can expend a charge to use the Wild Shape feature as listed in the druid class.
  • You can cast the following spells from the armor, expending the necessary number of charges: Druidcraft (at will), Commune with Nature (1 charge), Lesser Restoration (2 charges), Plant Growth (1 charge), Regenerate (3 charges).

Modified Wild Shapes

Each time you use a wild shape you gain additional benefits as described below. These benefits lasts while your wild shape remains active, ending when you revert to your normal form or when you use a wild shape to change into a different form.

  • When you wild shape, you gain 1d10 + your druid level as temporary hit points.
  • While you are in your wild shape form, you gain resistance from slashing and piercing from non-magical attacks.

This armor consists of a fitted metal chest piece worn with supple leather. Although it leaves the legs and arms relatively unprotected, this armor provides good protection for the wearer's vital organs while leaving the wearer relatively unencumbered.
