This one of a kind weapon was made by an alchemist, who died while testing the weapon. The weapon isn't finished and can be upgraded with a lot of thinkering.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic crossbow.
This crossbow has 10 small bottles at the side of the weapon. Only 4 vials are filled with a jelly like liquid. Each vial represents a damage type:
Acid, Cold, Fire or Poison. When reloading you can choose to push a small bottle inside the weapon (as a free action).
A bolt shot from this weapon deals 1d8 extra damage of the selected type.
When you roll a 1 the crossbow malfunctions and pushes the vial back out of the weapon. The vial spills some of it's contents over the user in the process, taking 1d8 of the damage.
Proficiency with a Light Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Acid, Damage: Fire, Damage: Poison, Damage: Cold, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Loading, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
