A set of two of these cans allows two people to speak to each other as if through a set of tin cans connected by a tight string over distances up to 500 feet. The cans are attached but the string passes through two tiny portals to the ethereal plane, allowing for communication through any object.

These cans are in the Beta stage of development, and whenever someone new touches one of the cans it projects a 12 inch minor illusion of a surprisingly muscular elderly woman with an enormous mass of curly grey hair. Over the next few minutes an extremely shrill voice will be heard, from the can, to say the following:

!!!CONGRATULATIONS ADVENTURER!!! You hold in YOUR hand one of YETHORA'S FAMOUS TIN CANS OF MODERATELY FAR SPEECH PATENT PENDING. These beautiful ARTISANALLY CRAFTED tin cans have a STRING ATTACHED TO THEM.

But that's not all! That string has been carefully threaded by a CRACK TEAM of VERY FRIGHTENED autonomous spiders through the ETHEREAL PLANE. Allowing YOU, dear adventurer, to cart them around where you please within 500 feet of each other and still hear the sweet band pass filtered sounds of your compatriots MELLIFLUOUS VOICES simply by speaking into this MARVELOUS CYLINDER. 

Talk through walls! Talk through crowded halls! Talk through meetings! Talk through ~heists~ The most crucial aspect of any adventuring team is the EFFICACY of their COMMUNICATION, and with these cans you can finally talk to your friend even though your MOM is standing IN THE WAY!!!!!
