This Half Plate armor closely resembles Green Dragon Scale armor, however closer inspection would reveal that it is much more. Long ago an arcane pairing (some would say it was an abomination) between an ancient Green and an equally ancient Black dragon produced off spring with the qualities of both. However, the hapless Mage that arranged this pairing woefully underestimated the inherent greed, jealousy, and lust for power of both parents. The untold horror of his demise is legendary... 3 of 7 hatchlings survived and reached maturity before they were slain one by one at various times. The hides were collected and forged into three sets of magic armor. Two sets were lost to antiquity, however one has been known to have been found. The armor provides a +3 bonus to armor class and is resistant to acid and poison damage. The wearer can also as an action, concentrate and determine if a dragon is within 10 miles, if a green or black dragon is within the detection range, its precise location, size, and age are also made known to the wearer.
This armor consists of a Breast plate, Hauberk, and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of dragon hide covered with overlapping pieces of dragon scales, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
