Weapon (dagger), artifact (requires attunement by a This dagger can only be held by those that survive the tale of it's birth. )

This dagger has been hidden from the multiverse ever since it's conception. Abrogatio was born from the blood of Pholtus, God of Light, Resolution, Law, Order, Inflexibility, the Sun, and the Moons; and the blood of Vecna, God of Destructive and Evil Secrets, Magic, Hidden Knowledge, and Intrigue. This dagger has the ability to end Gods and mortals, alike. 

You have a +5 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. 

Revocation. As an action, you can make an attack roll with Abrogatio, on a hit, you can forgo damage and instead plunge Abrogatio into the being, revoking them of their essence.  

  • First Round: Once a being is impaled by Abrogatio, you choose one ability score. The being has disadvantage on Ability Checks and Saving Throws made with that ability score.
  • Second Round: On the second round, if the blade is still impaled, the being's connection to the weave of magic is partially severed. The being loses the ability to cast spells of 3rd level and lower, additionally, any unspent spell slots of 3rd and lower and drained. The being can not gain those spell slots until they remove Abrogatio and then finish a long rest.
  • Third Round: On the third round, if the blade is still impaled, the being's connection to the weave of magic is severed even furthur. They lose the ability to cast spells of 6th level and lower, additionally any unspent spell slots of 6th and lower are drained. 
  • Fourth Round: On the fourth round, if the blade is still impaled, the being is severed from the weave of magic fully. The being can no longer cast spells of any level as well the being can not attune to magic items. Additionally, any items the being is attuned to dis-attune to the being violently; causing the being to take 30(5d12) force damage per item. additionally the being is drained of their vitality. The being is drained of 100 hit points at the end of its turn. If this kills the being, refer to the Final round.
  • Final Round: On the fifth and final round, if the blade is still impaled, the being is encountered in a black liquid that seeps into the being's soul, forever locking the soul and body into a catatonic state. The liquid forms into obsidian-like crystals that glow with a golden radiant light. They blade hilt can not be moved in any way, for 1000 years.

Revocation Penalty. Any mortal that uses this blade's revocation, suffers from the powers locked away inside. The creature takes (3d6) Radiant damage and (3d6) Necrotic damage on a hit or any use of the Revocation abilities listed above. 

Releasing a creature. The only way a being can be freed of this blade, is to wait 100 years and have someone remove the blade from the crystals. Wish spells are useless on this effect as well as any time altering effects. 



Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
