Weapon (scimitar), artifact (requires attunement by a Requires attunment by a bladesinger. Attuning to both blades requires only one attunement slot.)

These twin blades were forged with the melted down scales of the first ancient gold and ancient silver dragon, and they now carry the essence of the dragons and they are bound to each other by this link. The magical energy of these blades has learned to be harnessed by the one of the earliest bladesingers but were soon sealed away out of fear of their power. These blades can be put flush together and stored in a single sheath. Though the scales do resemble the metals they are associated with, they are not exactly the same; they are much lighter, but just as strong, making these blades incredibly light and perfectly balanced. Attacks with these paired scimitars receive a +3 bonus to both attack and damage rolls. Additionally, while attuned, you get access to the following abilities.

Draconic Cunning. The knowledge of the two ancient dragons will trickle into the wielder of the blades. You learn to speak, read, and write Draconic if you don't already know it, and your intelligence score increases by +2 (max 24).

Elemental Souls. The souls of the dragons within the swords still radiate their elemental energy. Attacks with Aurum deal an additional 1d6 fire damage and attacks with Argentum deal an additional 1d6 cold damage. Additionally, this elemental energy can be released in small bursts allowing you to fire blades of elemental energy at your enemies. In place of a weapon attack, you can make a spell attack roll, and, on a hit, you deal 1d6 + your intelligence modifier of the respective elemental damage to the blade used to the target.

Cyclone of Fire and Ice. The wielder can also combine the energies of the swords, releasing the energy in a larger magnitude. You can choose one of the following effects. The DC for these effects is equal to 8 + your intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Frostburn Tornado. As an action, the user can spin rapidly as they release the energy, forming a twister of ice and fire. All creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you must succeed a dexterity saving throw or be enveloped by the energy taking 5d6 fire damage and 5d6 cold damage or half as much on a success. Additionally, if they failed the save, the rapid heating and cooling of the materials causes their weapons and armor to warp and/or crack. Until the damage is repaired, the targets receive -1 AC and -1 to any roll involving the use of the damaged equipment.

Twin Dragon Pulse. As an action, you can release the energy in a spiraling pulse that fires in a 5 foot wide and 60 foot long line. Creatures within the line must make a dexterity saving throw or be blasted by the pulse, dealing 5d10 fire damage and 5d10 cold damage or half as much on a success. Additionally, on a fail, creatures that are large or smaller are knocked prone by the force of the pulse.

After using this feature, roll a d6. On a 6, the ability recharges. On a 1-5, you cannot use the ability again until the next dawn.

Dragon's Fury. The blades also contain remnants of the dragons' wrath. By embracing this wrath, you can increase your power and speed in small bursts. This allows you to make two weapon attacks, one with each blade, in the time it would take to make one. Additionally, these two attacks deal an extra +3 damage. You may only use this ability once per turn and a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier. You regain all expended uses on a long rest.
