This magical bow was forged with materials found in the most potent Astral manifest zone ever known. Though the location of this zone has been lost to history, it’s power could not be doubted when witnessing the might of this bow. When you make an attack roll with this longbow it adds +3 to attack and damage rolls, and the range is 180/720 feet. Additionally, you may cast the plane shift spell 3 times per day, but only to go between your home plane and the astral plane.
Arrows of Stars. When you draw the prismatic string of this bow, a dotted line of stars appears. At full draw, a light connects the stars to form an arrow constellation. These arrows cause your attacks to deal force damage, and, on a hit, the attack deals an additional 1d6 force damage on top of the base damage. The force damage ignores resistance and treats immunity as resistance. Also, the bow requires no ammunition.
Astral Leap. The bow’s power can easily manipulate the barrier separating one plane from the astral, or, if in the astral plane, folding the planar barrier over itself. As an action, you can concentrate your thoughts to form an intangible and invisible arrow. This arrow can be fired to any point you can see within 180 feet of you. Wherever the arrow hits, you immediately teleport to that location making no sound and leaving no trace. As a part of this action, if you are out of direct sight of all hostile creatures, you may immediately attempt to hide. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all uses after completing a long rest.
Blink Shot. The planar folds and rifts can be used to transport more than just yourself. Once per turn, when you make an attack with the Astral Bow, you can cause the arrow to jump through an astral rift, instantly appearing at your target. This gives your opponent little to no time to react, and the rift jump causes the arrow to gain momentum. For this attack, you roll with advantage and deal extra damage equal to your wisdom modifier. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier and you regain all expended uses after completing a long rest.
Astral Banishment. Finally, the bow can be used to forcibly transport other creatures to the astral plane. You may cast the spell Banishing Smite for free without requiring concentration. If the creature would be banished by the spell to a different plane, they are instead sent to the Astral Plane permanently (unless they have another way of returning). This ability can be used only once and you regain the use after completing a long rest.
