The Gauntlets of the Gale are magical elemental gauntlets that can shoot wind to do a multitude of effects including. Wind Push and Pull: For 1 Ki point you may push or pull any one creature within 60 feet that fails a STR check equal to 8+Proficiency+WIS or object may be pushed 15ft in any direction and if it gets within 5 feet of an ally or you they may use their reaction to use a singular weapon/cantrip attack conversely if you use 1 ki to pull yourself or an ally 15ft enemies can still get opportunity attacks but they have disadvantage(Using Extra Ki increases creatures that can be affected by 1 per ki but it will change it into action is over 3 ki is used)(Bonus Action). Wind Dash: You use 1 Ki point to boost forward 25 feet either forward, backward, upward or downward(Free Action). Wind Lift: For 1 Ki point you may hover 10 feet over the ground for a turn giving enemies disadvantage on rolls to attack you(You may also use this ability as high up as 25 feet in the air if you got up there)(Bonus Action). Wind Fist: For 1 Ki point all your unarmed strikes this turn gain 5 extra feet of range(Free Action). Rustling Wind: As an action, you can create a harmless sensory effect within 30 feet using air, such as causing leaves to rustle, wind to slam shutters shut, or your clothing to ripple in a breeze. Blustering Wind: As an action, you can snuff out an unprotected flame within 10 feet such as a candle, torch, or small campfire.

Even though this technically counts as something on your hands you may still use unarmed strikes as that is one of the things the gauntlets were enchanted for by the Firbolg monks that made it.
