Amulet of Plot Hook Recognition

This amulet alerts the wearer when they or their companions completely miss the point, delivering 1d4 bludgeoning damage  (no saving throw) in the form of the sensation of an open-hand slap to the back of the skull, a Captain Kirk doubled hammer fist to the back of the head, or that of an angry Dwarf stomping on their foot. Damage taken immediately regenerates upon the PC asking at least one blasted follow up question about the very obvious plot hook the DM just introduced.
