The AWM-S delivers bullets at a frightening speed. You select a target, and on a successful hit, you do 4d10, 4d20, or 5d20 damage to the enemy. When using a 308. Subsonic (Your choice, but all of the ammo in the magazine you are using is 308.), the bullet flies at 1050 feet per second, and does 4d10 piercing damage. This may not seem like much, but when used, you have advantage on Dex. Saving Throws and Dex. Checks, as the gun is extremely silent. When using a 300. Winchester Magnum, (the whole cartridge again) you shoot at 3260 feet per second, and do 4d20 bludgeoning damage. Then, if you shoot 338. Lapua (the WHOLE cartridge), you shoot at 3360 feet per second and you do 5d20 bludgeoning damage.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
