Sindrasil - The Flame Staff

Sindrasil I Naur Herdir, from Sindarin, its name translates to Cindersil - The Flame Master

This staff was handcrafted by the elven druid Pyrus, of the Circle of Wildfire, while adventuring in Wildemount in his youth. The staff is made from fine woods gifted by the forests and people of Crispvale Thicket. The leathers of the grips are of hides of creatures from the Savalirwood. Atop, wrapped in carved flame, is enclosed the gem reclaimed from a follower of Lolth, the Spider Queen, and repurposed for more noble deeds. Also within the carved flames are little pockets for torch wadding.

All who wield Sindrasil can strike with the staff dealing 1d8 +STR in bludgeoning damage, and an additional 1d4 +WIS (add 1d4 per character level above 3) of fire damage if the torch is lit.

In the hands of a fellow druid, it acts as a focus.

In the hands of all but its craftsman, the torch-end of Sindrasil can be illuminated and extinguished at will and contains 5 charges of Produce Flame.

To anyone other than its craftsman, a word of caution: allow its enchantments to reach zero and, like anyone playing with fire, you may get burned. The staff regains 1d4+1 expended charges at dawn. When all charges are expended, the player rolls a d20. On a 1, the gem explodes dealing the same damage to its wielder as it did to its last enemy.

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
