This golden band has small runes that appear to shrink when staring at them only to reappear after shrinking away to nothingness. The ring has 8 charges. and it regains 1d4+4 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the ring, you can expend a charge to gain the "reduce" effect of the Enlarge/Reduce spell on whatever object your ringed hand is touching or holding. With each charge expenditure the object's size is scaled down in all dimensions, and its weight is reduced to one-eighth of normal. This reduction decreases its size by one category--from Medium to Small, for example. Up to 3 charges can be expended at once. Items will regain their original size when no longer in the possession of the ring bearer.
The ring regains 1d4 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the ring begins to heat up. If not removed within 1 minute of heating up the wearer's finger will be amputated as the ring quickly shrinks in size until it disappears.
