Weapon (spear), rare (requires attunement)

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, it deals extra radiant damage on a hit.
You can use a bonus action to cause the spear to transform into what resembles and functions like a heavy crossbow. While in this form, the weapon grants a +1 bonus to your AC instead of attack and damage rolls. In addition, the weapon creates its own ammunition, ignoring the reload feature of normal crossbows.
This weapon has 4 charges and regains 1 charge per hour of exposure to direct, non-magical, sunlight. When you make an attack roll with the spear version of this weapon, you can expend 1 charge to increase its range by 10 feet and deal an additional die of the weapon's normal damage.
The number of charges the weapon has determines the additional radiant damage of the weapon while in spear form, and the damage die of the weapon while in crossbow form. When the weapon reaches 0 charges, it stops dealing additional radiant damage, reverts to its spear form, and cannot go into crossbow form, all until it regains its expended charges.
4 Charges. 1d10+Dex Mod Radiant damage Crossbow or 1d10 extra Radiant damage Spear
3 Charges. 1d8+Dex Mod Radiant damage Crossbow or 1d8 extra Radiant damage Spear
2 Charges. 1d6+Dex Mod Radiant damage Crossbow or 1d6 extra Radiant damage Spear
1 Charges. 1d4+Dex Mod Radiant damage Crossbow or 1d4 extra Radiant damage Spear

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Thrown, Versatile, Sap
