While wearing this armor, you have resistance to one of the following damage types: bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing. The GM chooses the type or determines it randomly.
Curse. This armor is cursed, a fact that is revealed only when you attune to it. Attuning to the armor curses you until you are targeted by the remove curse spell using a ninth level spell slot or similar magic; while you are cursed the armor cannot be removed and you use the optional rule for sleeping in armor in Xanathar's guide to everything. While cursed, you have vulnerability to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage and you suffer a -8 penalty to your armor class.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notes: Vulnerability: All, Disadvantage: Constitution Saving Throws, Poisoned, Combat, Warding, Cursed, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage

Posted Dec 27, 2021This doesn't seem to make sense. How does one gain the benefits of the armor without attuning to it and then incurring the curse?
