Has 3 forms;
Base Form, Standard Battle Axe: Damage 1D8 (1D10) + Strength Modifier
2nd Form, Chained Duel Hand Axes: Damage 1D6 + Strength Modifier
Splits the axe into 2 hand axes connected by a chain. While in this form you can alternate throws up to a range of 30ft Max and the axe comes right back into your hand. As an Action you can make a ranged Grapple check against the target's Athletics or Acrobatics Check (This does not damage the target). While Grappling using this weapon, you cannot attack from range unless you drop the grapple. You may also spend your bonus action to attempt to drag the target towards you. The target must make a Strength check against your Strength check or get dragged closer to you. The greater your Strength role is compared to theirs the farther you drag them closer to you (10ft Minimum + 5ft per every 2 points difference in rolls)
3rd Form, Giant Great Ax: Damage 2D12 + Strength Modifier
Grows the Axe to large proportions. Speed Reduced by 10ft while in this form. To attack, the user must make an Athletic Check to be able to successfully swing the weapon (16+ Athletic Check). Upon Successful Athletic Check continue to make your normal Attack rolls. Upon Failing the Athletic Check you may spend your Bonus Action to attempt to the Athletic Check again. (This form is inspired by Zeto from TFS during his Campaign of the Natural Oneders. The weapon was used by Grant's Character Chromagill)
To change between forms the user must have a verbal word spoken to choose which form it changes into. Does not change forms unless the word is spoken.
Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Must be in possession of the item for 24 Hours. Unlocks other forms after attunement (Unlock other forms upon DM Discretion if they so choose to), Damage, Combat, Versatile, Topple

Posted Dec 17, 2020This is my first weapon idea so any feedback to make it better and more balanced (if unbalanced) would be greatly appreciated. I wanted to make an awesome and fun weapon for my brother to give him more options but not make it completely overpowered or broken by giving (or attempt of giving) some negative effects based on the form and also giving the risk of losing some chances for attacks or other actions to make an attack possible
