Meticulously crafted out of a branch taken from a rare darkwood tree. A tree so named because it seems to absorb light and the space in its canopy appears to be in magical darkness, an ecosystem that often attracts creatures with blindsight or tremorsense. Extremely difficult to cut down, a darkwood tree can dull an axe before it has even bitten through the outer, dead bark layer. Dryads, however, may take a small sample of darkwood without harming the tree and gift it to one who has given them service. For convenience, the cue has been enchanted to allow it to magically extend, in order to pit those billiard balls that are hard to reach for wizards of diminutive stature.
The Arcane Pool Cue of Reaching can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +1 bonus to Attack and Damage made with it.
While holding this weapon, you can expend its single Charge to give this weapon (range 20/60) until the end of your turn, changing its damage type to force. The first foe, if hit during this turn, gets covered in grease which pools in a 5ft. square beneath them for 1 minute. Each creature standing in this area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. A creature that enters the area or ends its turn there must also succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Wizard, Versatile, Topple
