Weapon (club), rare

A small, rounded metal bar of zircaloy with a bracelet-length rope running through it, much resembling a "Soap-on-a-Rope" product.  Perfect for the grumpus maximus who finds foreign magics particularly distasteful, and in need of a good scrubbing.

Reaction (1 charge): A spellcaster has cast a spell which targets you. You raise your arm defensively, holding the metal bar. A shimmering force-field of nearly-invisible iridescence snaps into existence in the shape of a tower shield. As the spell passes through your barrier, the following occurs: If the spell was 5th level or lower, it is countered. If 6th level or higher, you gain Advantage to save vs that spell. If no save is required, its damage is halved. If no damage is dealt by the spell, its duration is halved.

Reaction (2 charges): A Chronomancer has cast a temporal spell which targets you. You raise your arm defensively, holding the metal bar. A shimmering force-field of nearly-invisible iridescence snaps into existence in the shape of a tower shield. As the spell passes through your barrier, the spell is automatically countered.

Action (3 charges): Swinging the bar around by its rope, you bring it down hard on a target creature, object, or surface. Upon impact, a magic-nullifying force explodes outward. The object or creature hit, or an area originating from the impacted surface, is Dispelled. You gain Advantage to this Dispel attempt.

The Nope-On-A-Rope holds a maximum of 6 charges, and regains 1d6 expended charges every Dawn (or every 24 hour interval).

"A finely enchanted rope of silk and temporal strands.  Nearly unseverable.  And zircaloy!  A metal that should satisfy the most demanding Dwarf.  In my time's past, that metal alloy used to be one of the only substances capable of safely cladding the fuel rods in ancient nuclear reactors.  Now it'll clad you.  Plus you can smack stuff with it!" - Veralt Meti, Chronomancer Just A Totally Normal Wizard, You Guys...

Proficiency with a Club allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
