The legendary Dark Bolt of Midnight Black is made out of the very essence of Ascelin. Before the demon Ascelin was slain he sealed his spirit in one of the spears of the killed heroes he fought after his summoning. The spear transformed. Turning in something resembling a lighting bolt but darker in nature. A dark bolt.
The Dark Bolt calls upon warriors to wield it. It crawls into people's head to haunt their dreams at night, compelling them to travel to the city of Ascelin.
When a warrior approaches The Dark Bolt, in the hidden tomb where it is hidden, the bolt starts levitating and shoots up in the warrior's chest. The warrior falls prone and is drawn into a dream. The warrior faces Ascelin and the demon converses. The demon says the user can use the bolt as he sees fit, but the user is cursed and must make a human sacrifice every 2 days or suffer 50 permanent damage every day.
The Dark Bolt can be summoned out of the smallest bits of shadows. You can use an action to clench your fist and grab the bolt from the shadows of your palm. When obscured in complete darkness the bolt gains +2 necrotic damage. The bolt does +1 damage to holy creatures or figures.
If the user wishes to break the curse he must succeed a DC15 4 days in a row. With every failed attempt the user receives 5 permanent damage and the DC raises by 1.
