Wondrous Item (any one-handed melee weapon), rare (requires attunement by a Warforged, artificer, or any other creature missing at least one arm)

An amorphous prosthetic is a magic item that replaces a missing arm, being functionally identical to your normal arm and becoming inseparable from you as long as you're attuned to it. To attune to this item, you must hold it in place of your missing arm for the entire attunement period. If you are a warforged or an artificer, you may ignore the need for a missing limb, and it instead becomes magically incorporated into or on (your choice) an existing arm, following the same rules as normal attunement.

As a bonus action, you can retract the amorphous prosthetic into your forearm or extend it from there. You can choose the form that this item takes each time you create it choosing from any melee weapon that lacks the two handed property or a shield. While it is extended, you can use the weapon or shield as if you were holding it, and you can't use that hand for other purposes.

If you choose a weapon, you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

If you choose a shield, you have a +1 bonus to your AC, in addition to the normal bonus given by a shield. (Total of +3)

If you are an artificer, this item, regardless of any form it is in (weapon, shield, or retracted), may be used as a casting focus for your artificer spells.
