Millennia ago, a great wizard on another material plane by the name of Arthax crafted a weapon for the demon hunter Iornal - a single arrow to be used at greatest extent of need. Iornal, by virtue of her profession had incurred the wrath of several of the Princes of the Abyss. Her friend Arthax feared for her life and crafted this arrow for her to use in self-defense should any of those powers ever move against her personally. The arrow was lost to history and lore upon Iornal's death by they common flu.
This arrow can only be used with a longbow and is specifically designed to be used against a demon lord. When the ruler of one or more layers of the Abyss takes damage from the arrow, they must make a DC 28 saving throw, which cannot be negated by legendary resistance, taking an extra 12d10 piercing damage, or half as much extra damage on a successful one.
Once this arrow deals its extra damage to a demon lord, it becomes a nonmagical arrow permanently. If used against a creature that isn't a demon lord, it loses its magical effect for 1d6 days.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Damage: Piercing, Damage, Combat, Bane, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
