These bracers are said to be the manifestation of the defensive ki of countless ancient monks, magic from ancient abjuration mages, and sparks of celestial energy from varying life deities. They are a gorgeous pale rose pink metal with rose gold abjuration sigils decorating the metal. When used, the rose gold sigils glow a faint white. These bracers were designed to allow a person that flourishes in close combat, to be able to better defend themselves, and their allies. The bracers have been worn by the world's most skilled defensive fighter and has been passed, traded, and lost throughout the ages; however, it has been noted that it is able to grow and improve as the wearer does.
At 1st Level:
You are able to tap into the defensive capabilities of the bracers.
- As a reaction you can expend 1 charge to cast the Shield spell.
At 5th Level:
Palissade has responded to your increase in power and has improved.
- You are now able to send the defensive abilities to others. As a reaction, when you see a creature within 30 feet of you target by an attack, you may expend 3 charges to cast the Shield spell on that creature.
- Additionally you can use a bonus action and spend 1 charge to cast Mage Armor, or Shield of Faith. The duration for this spell is 5 minutes, and you can only have one creature effected by this spell at a time.
- You are also able to expend 2 charges and ritual cast Leomund's Tiny Hut. Additionally the duration extends to 12 hours.
At 11th Level:
The bracers have increased in strength just as you have.
- You are now able to not only defend people physically, but also mentally. As action you can expend 3 charges to cast Intellect Fortress on 3 creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you. You must maintain concentration on this spell and the duration only lasts 1 minutes.
At 17th Level:
Abjurer's Fantasy: Palissade has reached its maximum potential.
- You are able to increase the resilience of creatures. As an action you can expend 4 charges and cast Primordial Ward on yourself and 4 other creatures within 20 feet of you. You can also expend one charge per additional creature (maximum of 7 charges) to be affected by this spell. You must concentrate on this spell. If a creature uses the effects of the spell to become immune to damage, they lose the other benefits of this spell.
