This suit of armor is made of overlapping pieces of fine china. This heavy armor provides and armor class of 20. However, each time the wearer takes damage, the armor takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to AC. if its penalty drops to -5, it shatters and is destroyed. The wearer of the armor takes 2d4 piercing damage from the shattering, and the armor becomes useless. The armor can be fully restored with the Mending cantrip.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage

Posted Mar 25, 2021This is an interesting concept! love the pun! and I think a strong armor that has a sort of durability to it is really nice, with most items, unless it's consumable, you can't really take away from a player without seeming like a dick DM, add that to the fact that a player with mending can repair the armor! While I know this was probably meant to be a pun, is actually a well made piece of armor!

Posted Aug 6, 2021If it can be repaired with mending, it's probably rarer than Uncommon, but besides that, it's a cool item!

Posted Feb 16, 2022Mending requires a full minute of casting time, so you can't cast it in the heat of battle. Take five hits and there's insult to injury.
