Angreal

This is a marble carving small enough to fit in a pocket, usually depicting humans, an animal, or a hybrid of either. Its creation dates back over three thousand years ago and is of unknown origin. Holders of angreal can cast spells through them to increase the spell's potency.

When the holder casts a spell, it is cast as if it was one level higher, but the slot expended would be what the spell's original casting level was before the bonus. Spells can go beyond 9th level.
