This overlarge slighly curved longsword is possesed of sentience of dark humor. It exists to slay mages and will argue the Virtue of doing so with any wielder loud and clear when drawn in the presence of a suspected spellcaster of any class or creed. (Sooner or later a spellcaster will do Evil) . Unless user totally ignorse the slaying of spellcasters the sentience isn´t likely to affect a user. Only if willfully ignoring trying to slay an evil spellcaster within the wielders possible limits the sword will take action to get rid of user by any means. (Anything between arguing, pleading, mind controlling to Cancelling abilities used in other purpose than mageslaying at critical situations is likely). Arcanist Bane wishes he was a Greatsword and will encourage and magically help wielder to use him as Greatsword with proficiency and will the act like a + 1 Greatsword instead of +2 Longsword.
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. The Wielder will have a number of powers to draw upon as long as Arcanist Bane and the wielder is on the friendly side.
