Wondrous Item, common
This item looks like a single wooden door knob with a pair of pill bugs forming a circle engraved on it. If you place this knob against any surface that is thinner than 3 inches, you can speak a command word and one of the pill bugs will start moving and disappear into the surface creating a similar door knob on the other side. When activated this item functions as a regular door knob as if they were connected by a metallic rod. You can speak another command word to deactivate the knob and make the second pill bug return to the original position.
