Arcane Music Generator

The arcane music generator is a rather mysterious construct, an elongated metal box with various knobs and dials peppering the surface.  Many of the parts that can be manipulated seem to have no function other than visual, but the generator itself is by no means inert.  Bards seem to find special use of the object, as the will and emotions of the wielder are converted into audio output by the generator.  These sounds range from familiar instruments and vocal performances to strange sounds with no known musical equivalent in this world.  Often seen as a skill-less instrument by bards across the land, few choose to use one if found due to the stigma that follows its use.  However, the rarity of the generator attracts some of the most creative and inquisitive bards to adopt the instrument as their own.
