Description: A small Metal box, (11x9x3 cm)sometimes decorated or engraved, with a covered zylinder(aperture) containing a capturing crystal on the front and a crank on the side. On the top is a small slit where the captured image comes out and a latch to refill the Parchment on the back.

How to use: Point the front of the Crystalloscope at the scenery you want to capture, then lift the cover of the Aperture. Hold for 5  seconds then close it again. As soon as light hits the crystal, it mirrors the scenery onto the parchment inside of the Crystalloscope. Turn the crank until your image appears.  One roll of Parchment can produce 10 images.
