This great axe found it's way into an Orcish camp and was passed down through generations eventually coming into the Possession of Grognak, the half-orc barbarian. Grognak would go on to wield
this axe against Arkhon the Cruel. Having bested him in Avernus this axe was warped the madness that is prevalent in Avernus and would go on to become semi sentient. Grognak would later pass this
axe down to his son Grilughesh.
This axe seems to be made with shoddy workmanship until you hold the axe in your hands. It's Willow handle and obsidian blade show no discernible traits as to what race originally created it.
Upon holding this axe you can make out cracks in the obsidian that glow with fire, illuminating very subtle runes that have been carved into the great axe's blade. It lusts for blood and will ring out
a booming noise when knocking into inanimate objects, almost like the cries of the souls that have been taken with this very blade. Every foe slain with this axe sends a sensation of happiness
implying that the axe enjoys seeing the downfall of others.
