Potion, varies

This vial of smoky red liquid is slightly warm to the touch and becomes warmer when held for longer durations, to the point of being uncomfortable but never truly harmful. If a creature consumes the liquid they must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 11). On a failure they immediately begin retching and are unable to take actions until the start of their next turn. If the creature succeeds on the saving throw when consuming this potion they feel mild heartburn but for the next minute are able to use a bonus action to spew a 15 foot cone of fire from their mouth. The number of times the creature may produce this cone of flame, as well as the amount of damage dealt by it is based on the potency of the potion (see below).

If a creature that consumes this potion does not drink water (or a similar beverage at the GMs discretion) within 1 minute of the effects of the potion wearing off they suffer 1d6 fire damage (+1d6 additional fire damage for each unused breath of fire).

Potency (higher potency is a deeper red color):

  • Minor (uncommon) : 1d6 damage and 1 use
  • Lesser (uncommon) : 2d6 damage and 2 uses
  • Intermediate (rare) : 3d6 damage and 3 uses
  • Greater (rare) : 4d6 damage and 4 uses
  • Major (very rare) : 5d6 damage and 5 uses
