Potion, varies

This purplish fluid seems almost gaseous within its vial. When the vial is broken or the cork is removed the liquid immediately starts expelling smoky gas of the same color as the liquid. Within 1 round it fills a 15 foot cube, lightly obscuring all sight within the area. Any creature that ends their turn inside of the gas must immediately make a Constitution saving throw (DC based on potency) in order to remain conscious (note: this is not a magical effect). If a creature remains in the area of the gas for multiple rounds the DC increases by 2 for each additional round they are in its area. The duration the gas remains in the air is based on the potency of the potion (see below). Once the gas dissipates any creature in the area regains consciousness 1 round later.

Potency (higher potency is a deeper purple color):

  • Minor (uncommon) : DC 12 and duration 1 minute
  • Lesser (uncommon) : DC 13 and duration 2 minutes
  • Intermediate (rare) : DC 14 and duration 3 minutes
  • Greater (rare) : DC 15 and duration 4 minutes
  • Major (very rare) : DC 16 and duration 5 minutes
