This spellbook just looks like a plain journal that has a clasp on the front of it. When attuned, the cover transforms, turning into something appropriate for the caster. (for example, a draconic lineage Sorcerer would have dragons imprinted on the cover, and the clasp would look like a dragons claw. A warlock may get a demon head-shaped clasp with the cover looking like its covered in tanned human skin and bleached bits of bone.) The spell book automatically records the owner's spells, from all spellbooks in his/her possession, that they are able to cast. All script inside the book looks like the owners, and the script itself is under an illusory script Illusion enchantment. Only the book's owner and those they choose can read it, but the Only one capable of opening the clasp is the owner of the book. When a new owner is attuned, all spells currently in the spellbook will disappear. All rituals this book are used for take 1/4 the time to cast. When caster actively consults this spellbook as they cast spells, all rolls get +5.
Notes: spend one hour focused on book. only by a wizard or warlock.

Posted Feb 20, 2019I really like this idea. Do you mean all skill check rolls as well. Like if my nose is buried in the book I can get a +5 to a perception check?

Posted Mar 26, 2019nope, it means all rolls related to that spell. i probably should have elaborated. though i guess that too is kinda not enough. For example, i throw a fireball at you while consulting the book. I get a +5 to my attack roll, and a +5 to my damage roll.
